Mary-Kate graduated from Boston University in 2013 with a B.A. degree in Marine Sciences. Her undergraduate research focused on nitrogen removal processes and interactions between nitrogen and metals in coastal marine systems. Mary-Kate began the Marine Sciences Ph.D. program at the University of Georgia in 2013. Her interests are the biogeochemical cycles of nitrogen and metals in coastal marine systems.
